My poor puppy..
Today I am thankful for having such an amazing supervisor at my internship. My puppy was bitten by something this morning and my little brother called in a panic to let me know something was wrong with her. My boyfriend and I have two pups, a white maltase (mine) and a black lab (his). Our puppies are like our children. They are spoiled rotten and we spend way too much money on them. We are always buying them toys and things to entertain them with. Their food cost us 50$ every 3 weeks. My family knows that I would seriously die if something happened to our dogs. When I arrived at my internship today that is when my brother called. My supervisor is also a dog mom and understands how I feel about my pups. She told me not to worry about today and to go home to take care of my baby. I called the vet to make an appt and because of her condition they wanted to see her right away. I got her there as soon as I could. They took her back and made sure she was stable, gave her a steroid shot and told me that they are glad I brought her in but to still keep on eye on her. Poor Layla had a rough day and is now at home sleeping her benedryl off. Im so glad I was able to get her taken care of and that she is okay!

I hope your puppy is doing okay! My dog is my like my child as well and I don't know what I would do if something happened to him! I hope the swelling goes down and everything gets back to normal. It was very nice of your supervisor to let you go and take of her!

ReplyDeleteHi Tiana,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I thought it was interesting about the amount you and your boyfriend pay for food and toys for your dog. I feed my dog Blue Buffalo. Its a pretty good brand and it doesn't contain grain. I hear that is not too good for dogs. Pets products is a billion dollar industry, only here in America tho lol. We treat our pets like humans. Anyhow, hope your pup pulls through!
I am so sorry to hear this, but so glad she is doing okay! I truly appreciate supervisors/teachers, etc being so understanding to one's personal issues and aspects in life. We all have unexpected things that occur in our lives that matter to us and need our immediate attention, and to have people who understand that really makes me happy! If I take on a future career with a high position, I definitely want to be a leader who understands others personal situations and takes their life into consideration!
ReplyDeleteAwe your poor puppy! I totally understand where you are coming from because whenever my puppy is sick or hurt, my focus is totally on her and making sure that she is ok. It is great that your supervisor is soo understanding. That is hard to find in the work area. I hope that your dog is doing better!
